You drive the jet ski yourself rather than riding along on someone else’s boat. For two hours you follow the south coast into coves, past caves and under cliffs that you never get close to from a catamaran deck.<\/p>\n
It starts with a briefing. The instructors show you how the machine works and go through the safety rules on the water, then you are given a life vest and the group heads out. No licence and no previous experience are needed<\/strong>, the controls come down to a handful of things you will have down within a quarter of an hour.<\/p>\n A safety boat with an experienced instructor stays with you for the whole route. That changes how the ride feels, because you can open the throttle on open water knowing someone has an eye on the group.<\/p>\n Along the way you look into places bigger vessels cannot enter. With a little luck you will spot turtles or flying fish, as the south coast is generous that way. There is also a stop for a swim in the ocean.<\/p>\n It works for couples, groups of friends and families with teenagers. All of the jet skis are two-seaters<\/strong>, so you can ride alone or with someone, and the price quoted is per jet ski rather than per person. When booking, select the number of jet skis and the number of participants.<\/p>\n The activity is not suitable for pregnant women. If swell bothers you or you do not feel confident on open water, a catamaran cruise is the better choice.<\/p>\n You set off from one of two ports in the south of Tenerife: Las Galletas<\/strong> or Puerto Colon<\/strong>.
