A two hour buggy trip for people who want to drive on rough ground rather than along a road. Forty minutes of the route are pure off-road, and a guide leads the group to places a rental car will never reach.
What you do on this tour
It starts with a pick-up from your hotel and a short transfer to our base. There the guide gives you a briefing on driving the buggy and on the rules of the road. The controls are simple and no experience is needed.
The first stretch runs on scenic roads so you can get used to the vehicle. Then you leave the beaten track and the real part begins: 40 minutes off-road across mountain paths, sandy trails and rocky climbs.
Along the way you stop in spots the guide knows by heart. From there you can see the peaks inland, valleys running down to the coast and the ocean out to the horizon. Good places for photographs and a breather between sections.
There will be dust, there will be shaking and your clothes will most likely end up dirty. That is the nature of the trip, so wear something you do not mind.
Who it suits
For people who enjoy driving and want to feel the terrain under the wheels. It works for couples, groups of friends and families with children from the age of 8 riding as passengers.
If you want a calm scenic drive, take the buggy tour to the Teide volcano, which stays on roads. This one is loud, dusty and shakes a lot, and it is not a good idea if you have back problems.
