Flamenco lands differently in a room than it does on a screen. You get two hours of live song, dance and guitar at La Sala Coliseo, a welcome cocktail on arrival and an evening you do not have to organise yourself.
How the evening runs
Doors open at 20:30, the show starts at 21:15 and runs for two hours. That first three quarters of an hour is your window to find the room without rushing, pick up the welcome cocktail and settle in.
The full line-up is on stage: voice, dance and guitar. Flamenco carries Andalusian tradition alongside Gypsy, Arab and Christian influences, and you hear all of it in the set. Up close you also catch what recordings lose: the footwork, the rhythm clapped by hand, the moment the guitarist and the dancer lock into the same tempo.
If a clear view matters to you, there is a VIP option: a welcome glass of champagne, priority entry and a front-row seat. The programme is identical. The only difference is how close to the stage you sit.
Who this suits
It works well as a night out for two and as a family evening, since older children tend to enjoy it. Do factor in the timing though: the show finishes after 23:00, so a small child with an early bedtime will struggle. If you are after a club night or somewhere to dance yourself, this is not it. Here you sit and watch.
Practical details
Shows run both in the south and in the north of Tenerife. From the south we arrange transport from the Costa Adeje area. If you are staying in the north you make your own way to the venue, and if you need the number of a taxi we trust, just ask. Both venues have parking, so driving yourself is fine too.
